In the beggining of February, the hotel will be home to children in difficult life situations. Residents of orphanages and boarding schools, as well as children with disabilities, will arrive with chaperones from various regions of the country.
The children are traveling to the international festival "Christmas Dream" and to visit Russian Father Frost in Veliky Ustyug. This is the foundation's main project, as part of which all of its wards gather in Moscow and embark on a journey together to the ultimate wish-granter.
The foundation's beneficiaries previously stayed at the Radisson Slavyanskaya on Children's Day. They attended a charity concert featuring popular artists, "Mission of Good," in the historic building of the Central House of Writers, and the "Matryoshka Mission" exhibition at the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts. They also enjoyed a walk through Red Square and a tour of Zaryadye Park, including a virtual experience called "Flight over Moscow." According to the organizers, staying at the Radisson Slavyanskaya was one of the children's highlights of that trip.
The Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel is actively involved in charitable activities. For over 20 years, the hotel restaurant has hosted a charity lunch on Children's Day for over 300 children from orphanages and low-income families who came to Moscow from various regions. Since 2012, the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel has hosted the "Let's Get the Kids Ready for School!" charity campaign, during which hotel staff collect educational kits for orphans and children in orphanages. And through the hotel's participation in the "Books as a Gift" program, children with visual impairments receive sets of full-color illustrated books, expanding their opportunities for a fulfilling life.
Additionally, as part of the "Tourism with an Open Heart" charity campaign, the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel is providing stay certificates to the "House with a Lighthouse" foundation, with proceeds going to children in need of medical treatment. About a month ago, the hotel also launched the "Kind Caps" project. Special containers were installed on the hotel grounds to collect plastic waste, the contents of which will be sent to a recycling plant. Proceeds from the recycled materials will be donated to the "Volunteers Helping Orphaned Children" foundation.
